Adobe InDesign is the industry-leader desktop publishing software application. It can be used to create works such as posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers and books. InDesign can also publish content suitable for tablet devices in conjunction with Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. While Graphic designers and production artists are the principal users this programme also allows more casual work to be made in creating and laying out periodical publications, posters, and print media. It also supports export to EPUB and SWF formats to create digital publications, and content suitable for consumption on tablet computers.

PREREQUISITES
While no previous knowledge in desktop publishing is needed. Proficiency in basic file management and general computer usage would be of great benefit.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The objective of this Adobe InDesign course is familiarise course participants with the basic techniques of desktop publishing, including page layout design and typesetting. Having completed the course, participants will also be able to:
